Hi, I’m Lauren, and I’ve been a graphic designer since 2009. Since I was a teenager, I’ve been captivated by the way technical aspects of design– especially color, formatting, and composition – can be intentionally directed to express emotion, create a mood, and form an identity. It’s so wild that a simple shift in font or a slightly lighter shade of green can completely alter a design! These are the little discoveries that make my art feel like an adventure. Equipped with an eye for tiny details, sensitivity to subtle emotion, and a degree in graphic design, I’m able to create designs that feel one-of-a-kind and true-to-you! But don’t worry, I’m not all business! When I’m not creating for clients, you can probably spot me on my way to Dairy Queen with my husband and daughter Ruth (or we like to call her Ruthie) or snuggled up with my chocolate lab for a rom-com movie night. I can’t wait to get to know you and your business, and bring your vision to life!

WHAT DO YOU NEED FROM ME FOR A
BRANDING PROJECT?
Between our initial call, the deep-dive questionnaire, and a Pinterest vision board, I’ll be able to gather everything I need to create your brand design! If you have more ideas you’d like to share, I’m always open, but don’t feel like you have to come with a clearly defined vision before we begin working together. I’ll unearth it for you!
IF WE CHOOSE TO ADD WEB DESIGN ONTO THE PROJECT, DO YOU WORK WITH TEMPLATES OR DESIGN IT FROM SCRATCH?
To speed the process along, I start with a basic Showit template when designing your site, since designing from scratch can add months to a project. But don’t worry! It will still be fully customized to fit your brand and look beautifully unique when we are done.
WILL WE BE ABLE TO SEE THE PROGRESSION OF THE WEBSITE, OR WILL WE ONLY GET ACCESS WHEN IT’S DONE?
I prefer to approach projects collaboratively, so I’ll definitely include you as I design. I like to start by designing a single page and go through rounds of revisions on that one page to perfect it before moving on. This helps me to nail down your vision before getting too far in our project. I’ll also send you a preview link so you can take a peek at what it looks like on mobile!
WILL I OWN THE WEBSITE ONCE IT LAUNCHES,
OR WILL YOU?
The moment your site launches, it’s all yours! You’ll be able to make edits, add text, and even create whole new pages if you’d like. And if you have any questions, Showit’s customer service is absolutely amazing at ensuring a smooth transition into your role as Webmaster!
